New 1U TYAN servers are designed for two AMD EPYC 7002 processors

TYAN has announced the Transport CX GC79-B8252 and Transport CX GC79A-B8252 rack-mountable servers designed for use in data centers with high equipment density. The novelties are made in 1U form factor using AMD hardware platform. The servers are based on a motherboard S8252GM2NE-2T with the ability to install two EPYC 7002 processors in the version Socket SP3 with TDP up to 220 W. Available 32 slots for DDR4 memory modules with a total capacity of up to 8 terabytes.

Model Transport CX GC79-B8252 has four bays for 3.5-inch SATA drives and four bays for 2.5-inch NVMe devices. Modification GC79A-B8252 received twelve bays for 2.5-inch NVMe U.2. Both servers are also equipped with a pair of connectors for NVMe M.2 modules.

The servers have one PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 OCP 3.0 expansion slot with FH/HL (full height/half length) card option. There is a dual port 10GbE network controller and an additional 1GbE control port.

The devices are equipped with three USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports and an analog D-Sub connector. The devices are powered by two 1200W 80 Plus Platinum.nbsp certified units;
