
ASRock Rack announced today the ASRock B550D4M motherboard designed for AMD platform-based server and workstation solutions. Novelty is implemented in ATX form factor (305 × 244mm) based on AMD B550 chipset. AM4 PGA 1331 «desktop »Ryzen 5000 processors can be installed. The system can use up to 128GB of DDR4-3200 RAM in four modules of 32GB each.
There is one OCP 2.0 Mezzanine (PCIe x8) and one PCIe 4.0 x8 slot each. In addition, there is a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for a discrete booster or adapter. The motherboard has six SATA 3.0 ports for connecting drives. There is also an available M.2 connector for 22110/2280/2242 PCIe3.0x4 or SATA 3.0 SSD.
The novelty is equipped with two Gigabit network ports and a dedicated network management port (for BMC AST2500) based on Realtek RTL8211E controller. The interface block has two USB 3.2 Gen1 and two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, HDMI and D-Sub as well as a serial port.
