Ryzen 7000 embedded graphics with a pair of RDNA 2 cores were faster than six Vega cores in Geekbench test

The first performance data on the integrated graphics of the new AMD Ryzen 7000 desktop processors has appeared in Geekbench synthetic benchmark database.

All announced Ryzen 7000 processors have two RDNA 2 compute units (Compute Units, CU) with 128 threaded processors in total.
The base frequency of this embedded graphics is 400 MHz and the maximum frequency is 2200 MHz.
This provides a theoretical performance level of up to 0.563 Tflops, which is comparable to that of the Nintendo Switch.
Image source: GeekbenchTesting in Geekbench OpenCL was the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X processor, paired with 64GB of DDR5 RAM as four modules.
This means that the effective memory frequency was reduced to 3600 MHz, which in turn had a negative impact on the iGPU bandwidth.
In other words, when using two DDR5 RAM modules with 5600-6400 MHz, you can expect higher performance of the Ryzen 7000 chips embedded graphics.Image source: GeekbanenchThe Ryzen 7000 processor embedded graphics labeled GFX1036 scored 8210 points in the test.
For comparison, AMD Vega 6 embedded graphics with six processing units (CUs), used in Ryzen 4000-series 7nm processors (Renoir), scores 7003 points in the same test, and \"embedded\" Vega 8 with eight CUs - about 8000-8500 points.
So there is a possibility that the final performance of the iGPU of the consumer Ryzen 7000 may be on par with the Vega 8, which is quite impressive since the latter has 75% more graphics cores.Image source: WccftechFrom the chart above, you can also note that the RDNA 2 iGPU in Ryzen 7000 processors is slightly slower than the integrated graphics UHD Graphics chips Intel Alder Lake and Raptor Lake.
As noted earlier, the Ryzen 7000 \"embedded\" is not focused on gaming, but on office applications.
