AMD Navi 31 flagship multi-chip GPU showed up in photos ahead of the announcement

A photo of AMD Navi 31 GPU based on RDNA 3 architecture, which will form the basis of higher-end Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards appeared at Angstronomics' disposal.
Recall that the official announcement of the latter will be held this evening.Image source: AMDThe presented photo of Navi 31 GPU confirms the use of chiplet design.
In the photo you can note the main graphics chip Graphics Chiplet Die (GCD) in the center and six auxiliary crystals Memory Chiplet Dies (MCD).Image source: AngstronomicsThe same source previously reported the alleged specifications of the Navi 31 GPU.
So, the main GCD chip with an area of about 308 mm2 contains 48 WGP (Workgroup Processors) blocks.
Each WGP has two Compute Units (CUs).
Thus, the total number of CUs in the chip is 96.
And the total number of Arithmetic Logic Units (ALUs or Area Stream Processors) within the 96 CU's would be equal to 12,288 units. The area of one MCD chip, in turn, is about 37.5 mm2.
The total area of the GCD with all the MCD chips is approximately 533 mm2.
The area of the entire GPU package is 2612 mm2 (dimensions 55 × 47.5 mm).
Each MCD contains 16 Mbytes of AMD Infinity Cache.
Thus, Navi 31 GPU will get 96 MB of Infinity Cache, which is less than the same Navi 21 (128 MB) that powers Radeon RX 6900 XT/6950 XT.It is also reported that Navi 31 GPU supports 384-bit memory bus with up to 24 GB of GDDR6 memory at 20 Gbit/s per pin.
This chip is expected to be the core of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics gas pedal.
Expected specifications of AMD Navi 31, Navi 32 and Navi 33 graphics processors.
Image source: VideoCardzIt is expected that during today's presentation AMD will present only the senior models of Radeon RX 7000 gas pedals based on Navi 31.
Models based on Navi 32 and Navi 33 GPUs will probably be announced later.
However, we will be able to find out the exact information in a few hours.

A photo of the expected GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition graphics card in a package has appeared on the web

A photo has appeared on the web, which allegedly captures the GeForce RTX 4080 graphics gas pedal in the Founders Edition reference version.Image source: Twitter / @KittuYukkoPresumably, the photo was taken at the factory, where the next generation graphics cards are assembled.
Image shared by VideoCardz, referring to the insider with the alias KittyYukko.According to the source of the photo, the upcoming GeForce RTX 4080 in the reference version is very similar to the GeForce RTX 3090 current generation.
This means that the card features a huge cooling system three expansion slots thick, which has one fan on each side. The photo catches the eye the new RTX 4080 logo.
Portal VideoCardz notes that the logo font is different from the \"official font of GeForce video cards.
However, NVIDIA has recently started using the new NVIDIA Sans NALA font on its official website.
Its comparison with the font on the video card shows a complete match:GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 4080 logo and the new NVIDIA website font.
Image source: VideoCardzRumors attribute the GeForce RTX 4080 to an AD103 (Ada Lovelace) GPU with 9728 CUDA cores, and 16GB of GDDR6X memory at 23Gbps per pin.

On the forum of famous resource AnandTech published a photo of the consumer version of the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 7700X processor on Zen 4 architecture.
The upcoming novelty is depicted in the new processor socket AM5.Image source: AnandTechThe photo shows the new heat spreading cover with AMD logo and marking with OPN-code 100-000000593, which confirms the earlier rumors that behind this coding was hiding exactly 8-core Ryzen 7 7700X model.
The Ryzen 7 7700X reportedly runs at a base clock speed of 4.5 GHz, and in automatic overclocking develops a frequency of up to 5.4 GHz.
The chip has a TDP rating of 105W and is equipped with 40 MB of cache memory (8 MB of L2 and 32 MB of L3).Image source: VideoCardzThe Ryzen 7000 processors will be announced on August 29.
However, the chips are rumored to go on sale closer to the end of September.
If earlier rumors are to be believed, this processor will get a recommended price of $299.
At the start of sales in the same cost was estimated Ryzen 7 5700X model on the architecture Zen 3.

Journalists from Le Comptoir du Hardware attended the Intel Vision 2022 conference, where they got a chance to photograph the layout of one of the Intel Core 14th generation processor chips, codenamed Meteor Lake.
The electron microscope lens caught the part with energy-efficient E-core computing Crestmont.Image source: Le Comptoir du HardwareThe first photos of Meteor Lake mobile processors were published earlier today.
They will use several chipsets at once based on different technological processes.
The Meteor Lake chips will use a hybrid architecture of large and small cores similar to the current Alder Lake chips.
At the same time, mobile Core 14-generation processors will be available in two types: one will have a standard package, while the other will be significantly more compact.
The former will be used in regular and gaming laptops, or in mini-PCs.
The second is likely to find application in ultra-thin laptops.Crystal photo, obtained by the French technology publication, very likely shows the chiplet second, compact, variant Meteor Lake.
According to rumors, these processors will offer two efficient Redwood Cove cores and up to eight energy-efficient Crestmont cores.
The embedded graphics and interface blocks are not in the photo.
They are part of other Meteor Lake chipsets that will eventually be combined on the same substrate using Intel's second-generation Foveros packaging technology. The chipset caught in the photo shows Crestmont cores based on the Intel 4 (7nm) process technology.
According to Intel, the new node will provide over 20 percent performance gains per watt over Intel's 7 (10nm) process technology.
An explanation of the image was posted by a Twitter user.
The photo shows the location of L1/L2/L3 cache blocks, as well as one of the Crestmont small core clusters.
Image source: Twitter / @Locuza_The Meteor Lake processors will scale desktop with a TDP rating of 125W.
In other words, the series will feature a wide variety of models.
Chips in the new series are expected in the second half of 2023.
