ASUS unveiled updated TUF Gaming laptops powered by Intel Alder Lake and AMD Ryzen 6000

ASUS has unveiled five redesigned TUF Gaming laptops at once: the TUF F15 and F17, A15 and A17, and the TUF Dash F15. All systems are based on the latest AMD Ryzen 6000 and Intel Alder Lake mobile processors, work with DDR5 memory and are equipped with GeForce RTX 30-series graphics gas pedals.

TUF F15 and F17 models offer Intel Alder Lake processors. The manufacturer is ready to equip new items with 14-core Core i7-12700H. The company does not specify the amount of available RAM standard DDR5-4800. It also offers installation of up to two NVMe SSDs with PCIe 4.0 and a GeForce RTX 3070 graphics gas pedal with a maximum power consumption rating of 140W.

Two display options will be available for the TUF F15 and F17: QHD resolution with 165Hz refresh rate or Full HD resolution with 300Hz refresh rate. In both cases, the response time of the displays is 3 ms. The laptops are equipped with a battery capacity of 90W·h. The main difference between the models TUF A15 and A17 is the platform. As the basis of these laptops are ready to offer the latest high-performance processors Ryzen 6000H series Rembrandt up to Ryzen 7 6800H. Another distinguishing feature is the fact that for the laptop models on Intel is claimed to have a Thunderbolt 4 connector. Ryzen-based models are equipped with USB 3.2 Gen 2 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. TUF F- and A-series ASUS laptops have metal case, new cooling system with new Arc Flow fans and RGB keyboards. The TUF Dash notebook model uses a 10-core Intel Core i7-12650H processor. It is claimed to be equipped with DDR5-4800 memory, solid state NVMe storage with PCIe 4.0 interface, and GeForce RTX 3070 graphics gas pedals. However, the manufacturer does not specify the maximum power consumption level of the graphics card here.

Notebook TUF Dash F15, as well as the models mentioned above, offers a choice of two display options: a panel with QHD resolution and refresh rate of 165 Hz, or a screen with Full HD resolution and refresh rate of 300 Hz. The response time in both cases is said to be 3 ms.

The metal housing of the TUF Dash is only 19,95 mm thick. The laptop is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 76 W·h. It is also stated the presence of Thunderbolt 4 connector and support for fast charging via USB Type-C connector. For all presented laptops TUF series manufacturer declares military-industrial standard certification MIL-STD-810, which indicates their increased shock resistance, protection from moisture, as well as evidence of the possibility of their work at very low or high ambient temperatures.

ASUS unveils TUF Gaming B550-PRO board for AMD Ryzen 5000 processors

ASUS has announced TUF Gaming B550-PRO motherboard, which is designed to build the gaming desktops based on AMD hardware platform. New motherboard is made in ATX form factor and features AMD B550 chipset.

Ryzen 5000 processors can be installed as AM4 units. Up to 128GB of DDR4-4600(O.C)/…/2133 memory can be deployed in up to four 32GB modules.

One PCIe 4.0 x16 and PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slot each is available, as well as three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for graphics accelerators and expansion cards. There are two M.2 connectors for PCIe solid state modules, as well as six standard SATA ports for drives.

There is a 2.5Gb Ethernet networking controller (Realtek RTL8125B) in the board's arsenal , providing up to 2.5 Gb/s bandwidth. Sound subsystem of 7.1 format is based on Realtek ALC S1200A codec.

The interface block has the following configuration: DisplayPort and HDMI connectors, network cable socket, two USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-A and Type-C) and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 ports, S/PDIF output and audio jacks. ASUS prepares TUF Gaming A17 notebook based on AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

The websites of European online retailers have information about the portable computer ASUS TUF Gaming A17, which involved have not yet officially released the AMD CPU and NVIDIA graphics gas pedal.

In particular, the notebook with the cipher FA706QM uses the Ryzen 7 5800H chip with eight processing cores running at 3.0 GHz with the possibility of upgrading to 4.3 GHz. The graphics subsystem includes a GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile graphics card with 6GB of GDDR6 memory. The laptop is equipped with a 17.3-inch IPS matrix display with 1920 × 1080 pixels and 144Hz refresh rate. The base variant carries 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD. Among other things mentioned are Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless adapters, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, three USB 3.2 Type-A connectors, and a standard 3.5mm audio jack. In addition, there is a backlit keyboard.

Dimensions are 399 × 268 × 22,1–23,9 mm, weight & ; 2,6 kg. The portable computer will come with the Windows 10 operating system. Apparently, the official presentation of the new notebook ASUS TUF Gaming A17 will be held in the near future. The price is not specified yet;

ASUS TUF Gaming VG249Q1A monitor will offer AMD FreeSync Premium support

ASUS introduced the VG249Q1A monitor in its TUF Gaming product family, built on a 23.8-inch IPS matrix with 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD format).

The novelty has a response time of 1 ms, and the refresh rate reaches 165 Hz. ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) technology is responsible for reducing image blur in motion. At the same time, the system AMD FreeSync Premium helps to improve the smoothness of the gameplay. Brightness and contrast of & ; 250 cd/m2 and 1000:1. Horizontal and vertical viewing angles reach 178 degrees. Flicker Free and Low Blue Light helps reduce the strain on your eyes during extended gaming sessions.
