New ASUS VivoBook S laptops feature AMD chip and NanoEdge screen

ASUS has unveiled the VivoBook S14 (M433) and VivoBook S15 (M533) portable computers suitable for everyday tasks and entertainment. They are based on the AMD Ryzen 5000 series U-series processors.

The notebooks are equipped with a NanoEdge display measuring 14 and 15.6 inches diagonally, respectively. In the former, the screen covers 85 % of the cover area, in the latter & ;86 %. Resolution is the same & ;1920 × 1080 pixels, or Full HD. The laptops are available in Resolute Red, Gaia Green, Dreamy White and Indie Black with the bright yellow highlighted Enter key.

There's up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, while the M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 & ; 1TB capacity is available. There are Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0, a 720p webcam, Harman/Kardon audio, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, USB 2.0 Type-A and HDMI 1.4.

Options include the NumberPad 2.0 touchpad, an integrated touchpad and a fingerprint scanner for fast login. The laptops run the Windows 10 Home operating system. Information on pricing is not available at this time;

ASUS unveils VivoBook 14/15 notebooks powered by AMD Ryzen 5000U for everyday computing

ASUS has announced the VivoBook 14 (M413) and VivoBook 15 (M513) laptops equipped with NanoEdge displays measuring 14 and 15.6 inches diagonally respectively. Both use a Full HD 1920 × 1080 dot matrix and cover 85 % of the display area.

The notebooks are designed for everyday tasks. They will be offered in three different designs & ; Hearty Gold, Transparent Silver and Indie Black. There's a backlit keyboard with the ASUS NumberPad 2.0 touchpad built into the touchpad (optional).

At the heart of the new products is an AMD Ryzen 5000 U-series processor working in tandem with either 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD has a capacity of up to 1TB.

The laptops come with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters, a 720p webcam, Harman/Kardon speakers and a fingerprint scanner. There's USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, USB 2.0 Type-A and HDMI 1.4, a standard 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD slot. The laptops feature the Windows 10 Home operating system.
